Manufacturing Foreman

 

Newlands has spent over 30 years developing an innovative approach to prefabricated harnesses, wire processing, and electrical systems. Our close-knit team, based in Ashburton, manufactures high-quality harnesses and electrical systems, delivering pre-assembled packages that streamline installation for our customers.

As demand for our solutions continues to grow, so too will our manufacturing division. We’re looking for a Manufacturing Foreman to lead our team, drive efficiency, and support Newlands Group’s ambitious growth plans in this sector while still having a production component to the role.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A strong background in auto electrical, electronics, or electrical componentry

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical plans

  • Proven experience in training, engaging, and motivating staff

  • Leadership and management skills, with a results-driven mindset and excellent time management

  • Experience in manufacturing, process design, and implementation.

Some technicians prefer to work on specific types of machinery or vehicles while others want a variety of different tasks and locations, so we try to make this allocation happen. 

 

THE ULTIMATE SKILL SET FOR THE JOB INCLUDES:

  • Electrical repairs for general servicing  

  • Air conditioning servicing and repairs 

  • Computer diagnostic interpretation and repair on various brands of vehicles  

  • Installation of GPS tracking devices  

  • Comply to Health and Safety standards  

  • Work with fellow work mates and clients 

 

A National Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering – NZ based qualification is preferred
