Marketing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
• Graphic Design – Create eye-catching promotional material for both online and print
• Social Media Management – Plan and deliver engaging, creative content that builds our community
• Email Marketing – Write and design compelling emails to reach new and existing customers
• Website Design & Maintenance – Manage and enhance our online presence across WordPress, Wix, and Shopify
• Analytics – Track and analyse website and social media performance, adjusting strategies for maximum impact
• Content Creation – Plan and produce photography and video content that showcases our brand
• Event Marketing – Contribute to signage, promotions, and other deliverables for both in-store and external events
• Google AdWords – Manage paid search campaigns to expand our reach
• In-store Signage – Update and maintain engaging displays and promotions

What We're Looking For:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) on an Apple MacBook
• Experience in commercial social media management
• Email marketing skills, with Mailchimp preferred
• Web design and maintenance expertise
• Strong multitasking and communication abilities
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Bonus: Skills in photography and video content creation

Radio Communication Sales Representative

With a strong presence in Ashburton, Rolleston, and Timaru, we are looking for someone to elevate our Radio Communications division and drive its future success. We would prefer this position to be based in Rolleston but would consider being based in Ashburton to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise market insights to target potential trade customers and grow the Radio Communications division.

  • Engage with customers through a solutions-based sales approach, ensuring their needs are met.

  • Negotiate and close sales deals, maximising opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with trade clients and consumers.

  • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and address any queries.

  • Lead the development and execution of sales campaigns to generate leads and promote our products.

  • Represent Newlands at trade shows, conferences, and events to build new business relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in B2B sales, account management, or customer service, ideally within radio communications.

  • Experience with mobile communication technologies.

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage time effectively.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with E-Commerce platforms.

  • Strong communication skills with a passion for new business development.

  • A customer-centric attitude and drive to succeed.

Automotive Mechanic & ARB Installer

 

We're seeking a skilled automotive technician who enjoys variety in their work— installing ARB products, performing WOF inspections, and handling general automotive tasks.

About You:
Qualified Mechanic: Trade certified with a solid track record.
ARB Expert: Experience with ARB installations is a plus.
Problem Solver: Skilled in diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles.
Team Player: Collaborative, with great customer service skills.
WOF Authority: Preferred, but we can help you get certified.
Mentor: Willing to support and train other technicians.
Reliable: Strong work ethic and a clean, safe work environment.
Eligible to Work in NZ: Valid work visa or residency, full driver’s license.

Senior Electrical Manufacturing Technician

 

Over the past 30 years, Newlands has built a reputation for innovation in prefabricated harnesses, wire processing, and electrical systems. Based in Ashburton, our experienced and close-knit team designs and manufactures top-quality harnesses and electrical systems. These are distributed as
pre-assembled packages, making off-site installation simple and efficient. We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Manufacturing Technician with wiring experience to join our team.

In this role, you’ll:
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot harnesses and electrical systems.
• Interpret and work from wiring diagrams and technical plans.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure production deadlines are met.

To be successful, you’ll need:
• A background in auto electrical, electronics, or experience with electrical components.
• Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and plans.
• Proven manufacturing experience.

  • Electrical repairs for general servicing  

  • Air conditioning servicing and repairs 

  • Computer diagnostic interpretation and repair on various brands of vehicles  

  • Installation of GPS tracking devices  

  • Comply to Health and Safety standards  

  • Work with fellow work mates and clients 

 

A National Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering – NZ based qualification is preferred
